Chair Railing

Chair railings were originally put on walls at chair height to protect walls from the chairs being backed into the wall.  Now a days, chair moulding offers a look of elegance in a room and definitely defines a room.  It is usually installed on the wall horizontally about 33” or 35” from the floor and then runs around the perimeter of the room.  This moulding is mainly used in breakfast nooks and dining rooms.
